  • If you have any nipple pain, breastfeeding should not hurt 
  • Baby won't latch on the breast
  • Baby can't stay latched/keeps falling off the breast
  • Slow or no weight gain/not enough wet or dirty diapers
  • Baby does not seem full/satisfied after feedings
  • Baby takes too long on the breast/sleepy at the breast
  • Redness, pain or swelling of the breast
  • Premature baby or feeding twins
  • Learning to pump/returning to work
  • Combined feeds/bottle feeding

Initial in person visit (up to 2 hours) .....$300

Let me come to you! Let's schedule an appointment in the comfort of your home. There, I can get to know you and your baby. Together, we can work to overcome obstacles and create resolutions towards your breastfeeding/lactation goals. The in-person visit includes: 

  • Review of Mom/Baby health history
  • Your current breastfeeding/lactation concerns, expectations and goals
  • Physical assessment of mom's breasts 
  • Physical assessment of baby's oral and structural anatomy
  • Weight check for baby, including pre and post feeding weights
  • Observation and assistance during feeding (hands-on if mother wishes)
  • We will work together to problem solve and create a detailed care plan to help resolve or improve your breastfeeding/lactation obstacles 
  •  A follow up plan will be discussed
  • With your consent, a detailed report of this consult will be sent to your Pediatrician
  • If needed, you will be provided with a Superbill that you may present to your medical Insurance for reimbursement
  • Includes 1 week of follow-up care via email, text or phone


EMAIL TO BOOK

Follow up visit in person....$200

This visit is for follow up and to determine if there are any resolved or new concerns.

  • Discuss any improvements since our initial visit
  • We will continue to work on the unresolved issues
  • Weight check, pre and post feeding weights
  • Together we will amend the care plan and come up with new strategies for new or unresolved concerns
  • I will continue to offer ongoing support and guidance
  • With your consent, a report will be sent to your Pediatrician
  • Determine need for further follow-up 
  • If needed, I will provide a Superbill for you to submit to your medical insurance
  • 1 week of follow-up care via email, text or phone 

Virtual Consultation (30-60 minutes)....$100

 Do you have breastfeeding questions that don't necessarily require an in-person appointment? 

Are you currently pregnant and seeking breastfeeding education? I offer a prenatal breastfeeding consult to discuss your specific goals, questions/concerns and what to expect with breastfeeding. 


We will discuss your breastfeeding/lactation concerns and determine a care plan to reach your individualized goals. 


Please note: While many questions can be answered virtually, if I feel that the health and safety of you or your baby requires an in-person appointment I will recommend an in-person consult with either myself or another appropriate healthcare provider. 

Insurance Coverage for Lactation Visits

Lactation Solutions is in network with Tricare insurance and is also partnered with The Lactation Network. You may be eligible for 6 insurance covered telehealth and/or in person lactation visits through the Lactation Network.  Use the QR code to connect with the Lactation Network.

PAYMENT AND INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT

The Affordable Care Act requires health insurance companies to cover breastfeeding support services.

For self-pay clients:

A $50 deposit is required to schedule your appointment. Payment to Lactation Solutions LLC is due in full at the time of service and an insurance reimbursement receipt/Superbill will be provided following the consultation. Credit card, FSA accounts and cash payments are accepted. 

For TLN clients: Please read Booking and Payment Policies below including the cancellation policy.

Booking and Payment Policy

My goal is to provide quality and timely lactation counseling to all my clients. 


Please be aware of my policies listed below.

BOOKING/PAPERWORK

All booking is completed online or via email through a HIPAA compliant and secure portal. Lactation Solutions uses MilkNotes, a HIPAA compliant app, to communicate securely with patients and providers. Prior to our appointment, you will receive a link to our portal to fill out intake forms, including consent for services and Notice of Privacy Practice form. You will be able to access your plan of care for each appointment here, send messages directly to your IBCLC, as well as access telehealth appointments when scheduled. You are responsible for completing these intake forms prior to your scheduled appointment. These forms MUST be filled out BEFORE the visit takes place. 

PAYMENT/FEES

Self-Pay Payment Policies:

Lactation Solutions requires a $50 deposit to secure your appointment, the remainder is due at the time of service. I will accept cash, Venmo and credit cards through Square; including FSA cards. 

I will provide you with a Superbill/receipt that you may submit to your health insurance for reimbursement. 

A surcharge will be applied to home visits outside my service area. 

A surcharge will be applied for twins or multiples due to the extended length of the visit.

REFUNDS

Payment for services is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of lactation services or needed referrals to additional health care providers. 

If I am unable to fulfill the appointment, or need to cancel, a refund will be issued if payment was made prior to the appointment, and every effort will be made to connect you with another IBCLC in the area. 

CANCELLATIONS

Your appointment is very important to me, and I understand sometimes rescheduling or cancellations happen. If you need to cancel an appointment, I kindly ask that you give at least 24 hours' notice. There will be a $50 charge for cancellations with less then 24 hours' notice. 

Confirmation texts or emails will be sent prior to your scheduled appointment, please respond in a timely manner during business hours(8am-4pm).

 If I do not hear back from you to confirm the appointment, it will automatically be cancelled at the end of the business day.

VIRTUAL DISCLAIMER

Please note there are limitations to a virtual counseling session including the inability to perform a complete and thorough physical assessment. Virtual counseling is not meant to replace an in-person appointment.
